Man charged in theft of electronics from Manchester Walmart – New Hampshire News

MANCHESTER – A city man faces theft charges after he was arrested outside Walmart with stolen electronics, police said Friday.

John Zylicz, 34, allegedly removed security tags on a camera system valued at $199 and a $249 thermostat before taking them from the Walmart at 725 Gold St. Thursday night, police said in a release.

A store security officer called police after seeing video of Zylicz taking the tags off the items about 6:30 p.m. Thursday, police said.

Sgt. Christopher Biron located Zylicz outside the store with the items about 7 p.m., police said.

The security officer shared footage showing Zylicz on Dec. 29 removing security tags from a camera and home-theater system with a combined value of $607, police said.

Zylicz was charged with two felony counts of theft by unauthorized taking and use or possession of theft detection shielding device/theft detection device removers, a misdemeanor.
