NECAC installs new board members – News – Hannibal Courier – Post – Hannibal, MO –  Missouri News

The not-for-profit North East Community Action Corporation (NECAC) installed and welcomed four new board members who took the oath of office on Jan. 24 during a regular meeting at the agency’s headquarters in Bowling Green.

The not-for-profit North East Community Action Corporation (NECAC) installed and welcomed four new board members who took the oath of office on Jan. 24 during a regular meeting at the agency’s headquarters in Bowling Green. Marion County Presiding Commissioner and NECAC Chairman of the Board Lyndon Bode of Palmyra administered the oath to Lewis County Commissioner Travis Fleer of Lewistown, Pike County Commissioner Bill Allen of Pike County, Ralls County Commissioner John Lake of Ralls County and Macon County Commissioner Clarence Walker of Macon.

The four will serve as Public Elected Official representatives on the NECAC 36-member Board of Directors.  Each of the agency’s 12 counties is represented by three board members.

NECAC is a social service, community health and public housing Community Action Agency that contracts with federal, state and local governments, private businesses and other not-for profit organizations to operate and administer programs for the low-income, elderly, youth, disabled and disadvantaged population. The agency operates client service centers in each county.
