Congressman comes to town; Oro Valley housing growth accelerates – Arizona News

Rep. Tom O’Halleran, the newly seated Democrat representing the expansive First District of Arizona in the U.S. Congress, came to the Chamber office on Presidents Day to connect, to learn, and to share perspectives.

O’Halleran lives outside Sedona. He served eight years in the Arizona Legislature, where he discovered some things about Southern Arizona, Oro Valley and Tucson, and the economic and social inter-relationships that make this region tick. His diverse, complex district may stretch from the Four Corners to Ina Road, but O’Halleran brought local knowledge to a half-day visit. And he loves Oro Valley, remarking that he’d promised his wife a trip to this lovely, thriving community.
