Fabulous Fifties, a don’t miss show, enters final week – Tennessee News

The final four performances of the 31st Annual Fabulous Fifties Show, “Rockin’ the Scales”, are set for this week in the auditorium of Ninth Grade Academy in Fayetteville.

The show, which opened last week to hundreds of fans, delivers plenty of great music, a lot of laughter and a few fun surprises. With a 15-piece band of experienced musicians and the extraordinary talent of a group of back-up singers, more than 25 gifted singers take to the stage for each of the performances at NGA, located at 900 South Main Avenue in Fayetteville.

Bringing the house down, too, are the cast and some very talented dancers.

“The Fabulous Fifties Show is made up of 80-plus very talented people who give at least three months of their time to present the audience with a memorable experience,” said Jane Wilcox, producer. “Not only are there singers, musicians, actors and dancers, but seamstresses; ticket, souvenir and concessions sellers; set designers and builders; artists to paint the backdrop and draw our logo; lighting and sound crews; advertising experts; a script writer; and backstage managers – the list goes on as there are so many people and businesses willing to give of their time, talents and goods to make this show happen.

“And of course, we have the wonderful people who are dedicated fans and just spread the word to of our show to their friends,” she added. “This event would not be the success that it is without the help and support of our community. Each person who is involved makes a valuable contribution to the efforts of MCCSN.”
