TRENTON >> A high-ranking security officer at Ann Klein Forensic Center has been arrested and detained on allegations he sexually assaulted a female patient at the state-run mental health facility.
Kenneth Glover, 38, has been slapped with two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault and related offenses on charges he vaginally penetrated the victim by force on two separate occasions earlier this month. New Jersey State Police Trooper Jason L. Lapham arrested Glover March 7 at the Trenton-based forensic center, according to court records.
Sporting his Mercer County Correction Center orange jumpsuit, Glover appeared at a detention hearing last Thursday in which a judge ordered him to be locked up indefinitely without bail, granting the state’s motion for pretrial detention.
“The court finds in this instance by clear and convincing evidence that no amount of monetary bail, non-monetary conditions or combination of monetary bail and conditions would reasonably assure the protection of the safety of any other person or the community,” Superior Court Judge Peter Warshaw said, explaining why he had declined to release Glover from the county jail.
“State Police were informed of a suspected sexual assault allegation that took place at the Ann Klein Forensic Center,” Warshaw said, citing the police complaint. “The victim gave an audio recorded statement alleging that this defendant vaginally penetrated her by force on both March 6 and March 7.”
