The Loon has a new look.
On March 2, downtown eatery The Pickled Loon launched a new menu, an overhauled and enhanced version of their previous lunch and dinner offerings.
Although the menu won’t be complete until the restaurant’s new entrees are announced, the expanded menu as posted on the restaurant’s website features dishes like pesto portabella tacos, beer-battered asparagus, a shrimp burger, a pulled pork sandwich, an avocado sandwich and a build-your-own burger option.
But die-hard fans of the Loon might have to say goodbye to old favorites like the duck chorizo patata tacos, bacon candy, the pimento cheese burger, the bacon jam grilled cheese and the build-your-own rice bowl or burrito option.
The Times spoke with restaurant co-owner Christopher “Buddy” Jost about the new menu, and the decision behind making the change.
