Warm weather projects keep ACC volunteers busy – News – Hot Springs Village Voice – Arkansas News

Spring fever building projects keep the Hot Springs Village permits and inspection department busy and, as the department goes, so goes the architectural control committee. During its recent meeting the ACC’s agenda featured boat docks, fences and a swimming pool. If the central Arkansas weather continues to heat up, so will the ACC’s many activities.
Committee members Bob Kostelecki and John Froning were absent, but nonetheless a quorum was present.
A commercial fence at Waypoint Marina was requested from the Property Owners’ Association.
The committee met for a special full session between regular meetings because Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control was involved, presenting a time-sensitive situation. The decorative fence specifies the area permitting alcohol sales on the Waypoint Marina premises and adheres to ACC policies for a 20-foot setback on the lakeside.
Barcelona Road Baptist Church requested three directional signs marking the route to its building. Upon committee review, a single sign was approved for the northeast corner of Barcelona Road and DeSoto Boulevard.
A polycarbonate deck cover was approved by the ACC and the Townhouse Association at 22 Orantes Place and also an outdoor fireplace at 4 Goce Lane. The fireplace requires a permit to document its existence for the purposes of the HSV fire department in the event of a fire.
Residents of 44 Arjona Way received approval to erect a fence.
A swimming pool and fence drew positive nods, with a variance, at 17 Viento Circle due to mixed materials being used in fence construction. Shrubs are to be used…
