Wine bar, Stogeez, Eastwold see early success at new location – South Dakota News

The former Bogtrotters Irish Pub building is seeing new life on St. Patty’s Day this year.

The building, which was purchased by downtown business owners Tim and Jamie Kant, re-opened earlier this week as the new location for Stogeez Cigar Lounge, Eastwold Smoke Shop and the new Bin 201 wine bar.

The three businesses opened Monday and are off to a strong start, Jamie Kant said.

“We have been so busy,” she said.

Bin 201, which is located in the west side of the building, has been completely remodeled with an upscale seating area and special room in the back for wine tastings and special events.

Stogeez new location also had extensive updates with a new, $100,000 ventilation system that pumps fresh air into the shop every eight minutes.

“We did about six months of work in 42 days,” Kant said of the renovations.

Bin 201 has seen particular customer interest in its self-serve wine machine, a concept new to the area.

Customers can insert a “wine card” into the machine to receive a 1-, 3- or 5-ounce sample of a variety of wines, even some that run $200 per bottle.
