A series of free health and wellness classes — made possible with federal grant dollars administered by the State — continues in May at the Bartlesville Public Library, BPL officials announced recently.
REFIT classes with Ashley Burson, Wellness and Aquatic specialist and coordinator at Phillips 66, will be held on Wednesday evenings, 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the library’s upstairs meeting room. REFIT classes are scheduled for all Wednesday evenings in May, starting on May 3, and will continue throughout July and August — with the exception of Wednesday, July 5, when there will be no class.
The following classes are also scheduled:
Renetta Harrison from the Washington County Health Department will present a class on chair exercises, held at the Washington County Adult Center, 300 E. Angus Ave. in Dewey.
A Breast Cancer and Early Detection Video Conference will be hosted by McMillen Center for Health Education of Fort Wayne, Ind., in the BPL upstairs Meeting Room A.
Healthy Cooking and Nutrition with local fitness trainer and CrossFit competitor Josh Wright will begin at 6 p.m. in the BPL upstairs Meeting Room A.
