The Greenville Parks and Recreation Commission during its Wednesday meeting voted to issue Parks and Recreation director Corey Holmes a written reprimand — which is a synopsis of an incident with expected improvement — for violating the city’s social media policy.
In the city’s policy — which the Parks and Recreation Commission follows — employees are prohibited from a litany of online activities, including: “disparaging the City’s services, clients, executive leadership, employees or strategy; making any false or misleading statements; promoting or endorsing violence; posting, uploading or sharing any recording or images taken in the workplace or at any city-sponsored event without expressing advance authorization.”
