VICTORVILLE — A former Serrano High School football player accused of raping two women was acquitted of the charges on Tuesday, court records show.
Dionza Antoine Bradford, 25, of Barstow, was charged with two counts of rape following his arrest last June. San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials previously said the arrest came after an alleged rape in the Running Springs area last summer.
Authorities then linked Bradford to another alleged rape reported in Victorville in October 2015, officials said, and he was charged in connection to both cases.
A jury found Bradford not guilty of the charges on Tuesday, court records show.
Bradford, 24, met both victims on the dating website “Plenty of Fish” and exchanged phone numbers with them before meeting in person. He then allegedly forcibly raped the women, according to a previous statement from sheriff’s officials.
Bradford starred as a running back for Serrano High School and later played for UNLV in 2011, according to a previous Daily Press report.
He was being held at West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga following his arrest on June, but was released from custody on Tuesday, according to booking records.
