Darting here and there …
–Enough with Zaza Pachulia ruining the NBA season. Blame David Lee. That’s whose foot Kawhi Leonard stepped on first, and worse yet, D-Lee was totally oblivious before and after.
–Our view: Leonard was all but finished after stepping on D-Lee’s foot, and even if he plays Game 3 – which he shouldn’t – Kawhi will very likely be a shell of himself.
–Look, it’s going to be Warriors v. LeBron, so can we just get it on?
–Actually, no, sayeth the NBA. If the Warriors and Cavs sweep their conference matchups, there will be an eight-day break regardless (nine for GSW) until the Finals start. Absurd, outrageous, and possibly unconstitutional. We’re checking with Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
–If the Warriors slip into Alamo Country and win Game 3 while San Antonio is shrieking en masse at Zaza, it’ll be the best screen Pachulia has set all year.
–We love Gregg Popovich, but why can’t he say somebody’s name when he’s verbally shredding them? With Trump, it was “this individual.” With Pachulia, it was “this guy.” What’s worse? Does Pop have a rating system on these generic rips?
–Not sure who dished it harder on Trump this week, Pop or Steve Kerr. Formidable double-team. If either team wins the NBA title, you can probably count on there being no White House visit.
–And LeBron James stumped for Hillary. So it’ll be the Celtics or nobody, which means it’ll be nobody.
–Klay Thompson may be shooting 28.6 percent against the Spurs, but the man he’s guarding, Patty Mills, is shooting 21.4, and a ghastly 10 percent from 3 (1 for 10). That’s why it’s a crime…
