Patricia W. Griffin is retiring from her position as state court administrator in order to take an appointment as a master in the Court of Chancery.
The Administrative Office of the Courts announced the appointment Friday. Masters in Chancery adjudicate cases assigned to them by the court, particularly in cases of guardianship, property disputes, and trust and estate matters.
Griffin has been state court administrator since 2005. As such, she played a key role in advancing goals set by the judiciary to improve the justice system, according to the courts.
