17 firefighters knock down Granada Hills blaze in 17 minutes – California News



GRANADA HILLS >> Seventeen firefighters took 17 minutes today to snuff out a small brush fire that broke out where two freeways meet in Granada Hills.

The fire, which burnt about one-eighth of an acre of light grass, was reported just before 6 p.m. in light grass near the junction of the southbound lanes of the 5 and 405 freeways, according to Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

No injuries or threats to structures were reported, Bastman said.
