35th Annual Natural Resources/ Chippewa National Forest Tree Planting Trip – News – Granite Falls Advocate Tribune – Minnesota News

 Nineteen students were part of the 35th Annual Natural Resources/ Chippewa National Forest Tree Planting Trip on Friday, April 28. There are 2,500 white spruce seedlings that now call the stand near the east shore of Lake Winnibigoshish home. The trip marks one of the longest standing volunteer efforts with the Chippewa National Forest. The students were accompanied by Phil Baird, Tom Feiro, and Laura Bell from the Agriculture and Natural Resources Department. Since 1983, students, faculty, and staff from the natural resources program on the Crookston campus have planted trees in the PhotoChippewa National Forest.
