KINGMAN – If you or your kids want to get out and fish, but don’t have the time or tackle, a chance to jump on board is coming up.

Registration for Fishing for Smiles is 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday during Kingman Regional Medical Center’s Kids Day at the KRMC Hualapai Mountain Campus, 3801 Santa Rosa Dr.

The Fishing for Smiles educational and recreational day of angling for kids 5-15 years of age will be 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 3 at Dunton Fort Rock Ranch, about 40 miles east of Kingman near the Fort Rock Road exit.

The event is co-sponsored by the Kingman Elks Lodge #468, KRMC, Mohave Sportsman Club, Arizona Game and Fish Department and with major funding by the Arizona Sportsmen for Wildlife Conservation.

The Elks Lodge cooks hamburgers and hot dogs. There are also drinks and prize giveaways. The event is free to the public and donations are not accepted.
