The community is invited to the Public Trails Association of Grayson County’s next “Trail Talk” presentation, which will be held this Tuesday, May 23 at 6 p.m.
The free event will host two guest speakers who will discuss the current and future public trail development potential in and around the region.
Vince Carman, President Kentucky Mountain Bike Association (KyMBA) Lincoln Trails Chapter, will address the need for public recreational trails in the region.
And Seth Wheat, Director of Kentucky Adventure Travel, will discuss the Kentucky Trail Town Program.
When a city is named a Kentucky Trail Town, it receives a special designation from Kentucky Tourism that grants funding and signage to promote local bike trails, as well as promotions in state tourism brochures and websites, Grayson County Tourism Executive Director Anya Turpin said in a previous interview.
Organizers of this coming Tuesday’s event expect it will last one hour, and community members will be given the opportunity to ask questions to guest speakers, Turpin said.
In addition to the speakers, Clarkson restaurants K’s Café and Redneck Ranch BBQ will provide complementary refreshments.
While the event will be held at Clarkson City Hall (located at 213 Millerstown St.), the topics discussed will pertain to the entire community, so all are encouraged to attend, according to Turpin.
