An investigation into human skeletal remains found in the Goosley Road area continues to stop traffic at Leigh and Crawford roads Saturday morning, according to a York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office news release.
The closure is expected to continue well into Saturday. When the road will open hasn’t been determined, police say.

Human skeletal remains have been found in an area around Goosley Road, the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office said Friday evening in a news release posted to social media.
Goosley Road is closed at Leigh and Crawford roads, and police are asking people to avoid the area until further notice, saying the road could be closed well into Saturday.
The Sheriff’s Office said it is investigating the discovery of human skeletal remains, which were found around 6:30 p.m. Friday evening.
Investigators do not believe the remains are connected to the Colonial Parkway missing persons, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office said no further information is available at this time.
