U.S. Rep. Mark Amodei, R-Nev., was confirmed to be OK on Wednesday after a gunman opened fire on a Republican congressional team practice in Alexandria, Va.

Communications Director Logan Ramsey said Amodei did not attend the baseball game this year and was not around the incident when it occurred.

Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., was among those wounded. According to Alexandria Chief Michael Brown, five people received medical transport from the scene. He confirmed a suspect was in custody.
