Fire damages Magalia Deport Restaurant – California News



Magalia >> A fire overnight damaged the historic Depot Restaurant in Magalia.

Cal Fire-Butte County responded to the fire at about 10:42 p.m. Tuesday, according to a press release.

The fire department said heavy fire and smoke was reported by the first engine to arrive at scene, coming from the second floor of the 4,000-square-foot building. Two additional engines were immediately requested.

At about 11:45 p.m. Cal Fire tweeted that the fire had been knocked down. There were no injuries.

Seven engines, a water truck and two volunteer companies responded, with a total of 30 firefighters.
