Surgeon added to BHMC-Stuttgart – News – Stuttgart Daily Leader – Stuttgart, AR – Arkansas News

“I grew up in a small farming town in Pennsylvania and (Stuttgart) reminds me of my hometown and my wife (Barbara) and I, who I just married 33 years ago, are looking forward to enjoying all that the Stuttgart area has to offer from gardening to golfing,” Dr. Scheirer said. “I’m looking forward to practicing and taking the best care of the patients I know how. One thing that impressed me is the commitment that Baptist Health is making in the local hospital. Being in Stuttgart will give patients the opportunity to stay closer to home for their healthcare.”

Dr. Robert Scheirer, a general surgeon who most recently practiced in Augusta, Georgia, began seeing patients at Baptist Health Medical Center-Stuttgart (BHMC) on Monday, June 5. To welcome Scheirer and his family, the hospital is hosting a community drop-in reception from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 22.
