Bridge work on 12 Mile Road to cause lane closures, delays –  Michigan News


The Road Commission for Oakland County has announced upcoming preventative work on two 12 Mile Road bridges between Lahser Road and Telegraph Road in Southfield.

Work is scheduled to begin Monday, June 19 and is expected to conclude Monday, Aug. 7.

The road will remain open to traffic, but RCOC stated the work involves some lane closures, with delays likely during peak travel times.

One of the two bridges spans the Rouge River, while the other is over the Franklin branch of the Rouge River.

C.A. Hull of commerce Township is the contractor for the project, which includes concrete repairs and some painting.
