Hernan Iribarren hit a home run and doubled, but the Louisville Bats were unable to prevail on the road.
Jacob May scored the winning run on a wild pitch with one out in the 13th inning, as the Charlotte Knights topped the Bats 4-3 on Wednesday.
Jason Bourgeois hit an RBI single, bringing home Rymer Liriano in the second inning to give the Knights a 1-0 lead. The Bats came back to take a 2-1 lead in the fifth inning when Iribarren hit a two-run home run.
Charlotte regained the lead 3-2 after it scored two runs in the sixth inning on a two-run double by Ronald Bueno.
Louisville tied the game 3-3 in the seventh when Brandon Dixon scored on a double play.
Reliever Jake Dunning (2-0) picked up the win after he struck out three and walked one while allowing one hit over three scoreless innings. Ismael Guillon (0-2) went 1 1/3 innings, allowing one run and two hits. He also struck out one and walked two.
Bueno doubled and singled, driving home two runs in the win. Bourgeois singled three times, driving in a run and also scoring one.
Charlotte took advantage of some erratic Louisville pitching, drawing a season-high 13 walks in its victory.
Iribarren homered and singled, driving in two runs for the Bats.
