House (6-5) picked up the win after he struck out five and walked one while allowing five hits over six scoreless innings.
The IronPigs’ Mark Appel (4-3) went 5 2/3 innings, allowing four runs and eight hits in the International League game. He also struck out four and walked two.
Buffalo scored its runs when Ian Parmley and Steve Pearce scored on a single, and Christian Lopes scored on a wild pitch in the third inning and Pearce hit an RBI single in the sixth.
Lopes doubled and singled twice in the win.
Osmel Aguila doubled and singled for the IronPigs. Pedro Florimon also doubled for Lehigh Valley.
Lehigh Valley collected seven hits but was held off the scoreboard for the sixth time this season, while the Buffalo staff recorded its sixth shutout of the year.
Despite the loss, Lehigh Valley is 10-2 against Buffalo this season.
