Masked bandit robs Muncie liquor store –  Indiana News

MUNCIE, Ind. – City police are looking for a masked bandit who held up a southside liquor store shortly before noon Thursday.

The holdup was reported at 11:56 a.m. at the Save-On Liquor store at 1920 S. Madison St.

Muncie police Capt. Joe Todd said the robber pointed a handgun at a store clerk and demanded cash. No injuries were reported.

The robber was described as a “younger black male,” wearing a black T-shirt, long black shorts and a black and silver mask

The robbery occurred about 35 hours after two gunmen used a police-style baton to baton to smash a window at Muncie’s Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant, 838 E. McGalliard Road.

Those bandits entered the restaurant, which had closed for the night, and robbed a manager at gunpoint.

Todd said there was no immediate reason to suspect the robberies were connected.
