Police: Car intentionally struck geese – News – Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise – Oklahoma News

Bartlesville authorities are looking for a man who reportedly intentionally ran over several geese near Jo Allyn Lowe Park around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

“We got a witness report that a person had hit several geese on purpose,” Bartlesville Police Department Animal Control Officer Charles Aubrey told the Examiner-Enterprise Thursday morning. “The witness said the guy that did it looked like he was laughing.”

Aubrey said a total of nine geese were struck in the incident — and only one survived.

“Another witness said it looked like the vehicle was a white convertible,” he said. “We’re not sure if it was a convertible or a car with a cloth top.”

Aubrey said a city worker also saw the vehicle, but was too far away to get a tag number.

“The guy that did it supposedly went to the Gushers Car Wash right afterwards,” he said.

“The one surviving goose was taken to Wild Heart Ranch.”

Anyone with any information into the incident is encouraged to call the Bartlesville Police Department at 918-338-4015 or Bartlesville Crimestoppers at 918-336-CLUE (2583).
