I read with pleasure and amusement the letters (April 20 and May 25) from Peter Jessup of Belton in his attempts to debunk climate change/global warming.
Jessup uses loaded terms in referring to people (“pro-global warming hack”) or ideas (fantasy, hoax) in his attempt to discredit global warming/climate change. There are virtually no citations of research done or researchers — with one exception — so that a person isn’t able to check Jessup’s assertions. That one exception is a reference to Noah Diffenbaugh, a very well-respected climatologist at Stanford University who has published extensively in scientific journals. (For a less than scientific journal’s attempt to debunk Diffenbaugh be sure to check: https://wattsupwiththat.com)
