Police Report for June 27 – News – Gadsden Times – Alabama News



Someone burglarized a vacant house between June 1 and Monday in the 1500 block of South 11th Street, taking antique china, 50 Special Edition Barbie dolls, neon Bud Light and Corona signs and an engraved money clip.

A Glock 17 9 mm pistol and a wallet were reported stolen between May 12 and Monday from a location in the 200 block of South Eighth Street.

A Gadsden man walked into the police station to report someone had stolen his 2010 Crown Victoria between 5:20 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. from the 1400 block of Piedmont Cutoff. About 15 minutes earlier, officers were attempting to stop the car when it wrecked, and the two suspects in it fled on foot. The crash occurred in the area of Padenreich Avenue and Spring Rock Street.

A resident and a witness returned to a residence in the 600 block of Windsor Street at about 2 a.m. Tuesday and noticed the door had been broken open. The witness went to get a baseball bat out of the vehicle for protection. He heard a noise from the backyard and rounded the corner to see a man in a burgundy shirt running down the alleyway. He tried to chase the man, but lost him. A pink Leap Frog tablet, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 camera were stolen.

A 2013 Chevrolet Silverado extended cab truck was reported stolen Saturday from a car lot in the 2500 block of West Meighan Boulevard.

A Hanceville construction company reported batteries stolen from three pieces of heavy equipment between Friday and 6:30 a.m. Monday from a site in the 2000 block of West Meighan Boulevard.
