Burnin Daylight to play this week’s Block Party – Arkansas News

A local band playing country, contemporary and gospel music will be the featured act this week at Mountain Home’s Friday Night Block Party.

Burnin Daylight will take the stage at 7 p.m. Friday night at the Baxter County Courthouse square in downtown Mountain Home. The Baxter County Historical Society will be selling ice cream sundaes, with funnel cakes and lemonade also available for purchase from concession vendors.

 

This week’s Block Party sponsor is Conner Family Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Block Party attendees will also be eligible to win door prizes, which will be drawn during the band’s intermission.

Burnin Daylight covers artists like Martina McBride, The Eagles, Lady Antebellum, Maddie & Tae, The Judd’s, The Isaac’s and Natalie Grant.

Anne Jackson, Cate Jackson, and Susi Vangilder take turns singing lead and harmonizing. Curt Dixon plays lead guitar as well as sings lead on several tunes. Mark Kapshandy plays rhythm guitar and sings harmony, Tony Chastain plays bass, and Jayme Patterson is on drums.
