CCSO wraps up months-long investigation into drug traffickers | Local News Stories – Arizona News

SIERRA VISTA — The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit wrapped up a several months long investigation into local drug traffickers on June 14.

In the early morning hours, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle being operated by Nathaniel “Mel” Williams  who was the main target in this investigation.  After the traffic stop, a search warrant was executed at Mountain Vista Apartments, 4400 E Busby.  

Several arrests were made, to include Nathaniel “Mel” Williams and Jessica Hoover.

Items seized in this case include: $13,182, three vehicles, 3.5 ounces of methamphetamine, a half pound of marijuana, 4 grams of cocaine, approximately 1 gram of powdered heroin packaged for sale, and three loaded handguns  — one reported stolen out of Bisbee.

Williams was arrested on charges of possession of dangerous drugs for sale; possession of narcotic drugs for sale; possession of marijuana for sale; possession of drug paraphernalia; misconduct involving weapons in drug offense; misconduct involving weapons by prohibited possessor; and possession of stolen property.

Hoover was arrested on charges of possession of dangerous drugs for sale; possession of narcotic drugs for sale; possession of marijuana for sale; possession of drug paraphernalia; misconduct involving weapons in drug offense; and possession of stolen property.

Both subjects remain in custody at the Cochise County Jail.
