Celebrating the Fourth | The Laughlin Nevada Times – Arizona News

LAUGHLIN — The Fourth of July will be here soon and there is plenty to do in the surrounding area to help celebrate.

Locals and visitors alike can expect much of the same fanfare as in years past. There will be the Rockets Over the River display that can be viewed at the Laughlin casinos along Casino Drive.

Because July 4 is a Tuesday, a second show was added. There will be a show on Saturday, July 1 and again on Tuesday, July 4. Both shows begin at 9 p.m.

The shows are produced by Pyrotecnico, sponsored by the Laughlin Tourism Commission. They will be set to summer and patriotic music.

The Avi Resort and Casino will offer their own fireworks display, using Zambelli Internationale pyrotechnic company. It’s called Thunder in the Sky and will begin at 8 p.m. July 4.

Don’t want to be left on the shore to watch the fireworks? Take a cruise. The Riverside Resort Hotel and Casino and the Aquarius are offering river cruises to enjoy the shows.

Passengers may board the USS Riverside at 6:45 p.m. and the cruise begins at 7 p.m. It goes from the Riverside dock to Davis Dam and returns back near the fireworks launch site. Those interested in a cruise can join the Aquarius at their dock. Boarding begins at 7:45 p.m. with the cruise going from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Cost is $50 per ticket and includes hors d’ourvres and a disc jokey providing dancing music. A cash bar will be available….
