Havasu Police arrested a man June 19 in front of an ice cream shop in the 2200 block of McCulloch Boulevard after he reportedly held a large knife and stabbed at his abdomen.
Christopher D. Borges, 31, was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct with a weapon, a felony. Police said several concerned citizens called police to report that the man was sitting on a bench outside of the open business with a knife.
Police arrived and arrested Borges at gunpoint after he allegedly began to reach for his waistband while approaching an officer. Borges was then placed under arrest.
Police had received a call earlier that day after someone allegedly spotted Borges walking through a neighborhood with a knife and gun in his possession, according to an arrest report.
