BURLINGTON, Iowa (AP) — Julian Leon doubled and singled, and Erik Manoah allowed just one hit over five innings as the Burlington Bees defeated the Lake County Captains 7-6 on Sunday.
Manoah (5-5) allowed one run while striking out two and walking two to pick up the win.
With the game tied 1-1, Burlington batted around in the second inning, sending 10 batters to the plate and scoring six runs, including two RBI each from Richard Fecteau and Sam McDonnell.
After Lake County added two runs, the Captains cut into the deficit in the eighth inning when Jose Medina scored on a ground out and Luke Wakamatsu hit a two-run double.
Micah Miniard (2-9) went 1 2/3 innings, allowing five runs and two hits in the Midwest League game. He also struck out one and walked three.
