A terrific brand of women’s softball is coming to Raley Field Thursday when Team USA will take on a team of current and former Sacramento-area all-stars. The games will begin at 6 p.m. and at 8 p.m. with an autograph session to follow. Tickets are $25 and parking is free for the event.

She graduated from college in 2015, spent last season as a coach at Cal Poly, but has stayed active in the sport. She’ll likely pitch one of the games and play first base in the other for Team USA.
A former Cal Bear, Valerie Arioto, is also a member of Team USA.
A couple Elk Grove-area women will play for the Sacramento All-Stars. Danielle Henderson, who played at Sheldon and then at Cal, is now an assistant coach at Pleasant Grove H.S. Morgan Lamb, who played for Elk Grove H.S. and is currently playing at Boise State, will also be on the Sacramento All-Stars.
A softball youth clinic earlier in the day is reportedly now sold out, as is a VIP Meet & Greet on Wednesday night.
