Be KiND: fundraiser to benefit Redondo Beach native with Lyme disease | News – California News

KiND Apparel Company in Manhattan Beach hosts a fundraiser to support Nicole Saari and her two-year-old son Aaron on Thursday, July 27, from 6 to 9 p.m. Saari, who grew up in Redondo Beach, was diagnosed late last year with late-stage Lyme disease; her toddler has congenital Lyme. Their treatment is not covered by insurance.

Shop for apparel and accessories at the boutique, while enjoying a variety of hors d’oeuvres, wine, and complimentary chair massages from certified massage therapist Phil Stables of Perfect Health Massage Therapy in Redondo Beach. There will also be a silent auction with discounted original artwork from local artists.

KiND offers creatively designed, socially responsible apparel from hoodies to tank tops and jackets made with high quality fabrics, as well as Veganni vegan purses, Bureo skateboards and handmade jewelry. Each month, KiND directs a portion of the shop’s proceeds to a new charity. Owner Kate Myer and partners Elly Young and Lauren Blake will donate 20 percent of the Thursday evening’s sales to Saari.

Tickets for the event are $15 and benefit Saari in full. To purchase in advance, visit http://bit.ly/2t0YDZi; tickets are also available at the door. All ages are welcome.

KiND is located at 1012 Manhattan Ave. in Manhattan Beach.
