The 47-year-old motorcyclist involved in a Saturday morning crash died from his injuries, according to the Larimer County Coroner.
James Burnfield, 47, died Saturday at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland.
The Fort Collins man was riding north on Linden Street around 10 a.m. when a Mercedes sedan made a U-turn in front of him at the intersection of Linden Center Drive. Burnfield crashed into the side of the car, which was driven by Daniel Carrico, 32, of Fort Collins.
Burnfield was not wearing a helmet and was taken to Medical Center of the Rockies, where he later died.
The Larimer County Coroner’s Office has ruled Burnfield’s death an accident due to multiple blunt force traumas. He was the 19th person to die on Larimer County roads this year.
