EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — Miguel Aparicio hit a grand slam in the ninth inning, leading the Spokane Indians to a 6-5 win over the Everett AquaSox on Sunday.
Argenis Rodriguez got David Banuelos to fly out with runners on first and second to end the game for his first save of the season.
The grand slam by Aparicio scored Matt Whatley, Kole Enright, and Kobie Taylor to give the Indians a 6-3 lead.
In the bottom of the ninth, Everett scored on a sacrifice fly by Eugene Helder that brought home Ronald Rosario. In the following at-bat, Johnny Adams hit an RBI double, scoring Chris Torres to cut the Spokane lead to 6-5.
Alex Eubanks (2-0) got the win in relief while Michael Rivera (0-1) took the loss in the Northwest League game.
Rosario homered and doubled, scoring two runs for the AquaSox.
