Attalla police look for St. Clair County woman, child – News – Gadsden Times – Alabama News

Attalla police need help finding a St. Clair County woman and her 3-year-old daughter, last seen Thursday, according to Attalla Police Chief Dennis Walker.

Amber Nicole Byers, 28, and her daughter Skyi Wood were traveling with Byers’ boyfriend Thursday night to visit friends, Chief Investigator Doug Jones said. It was about 9 p.m. when the couple argued and Byers got out of the vehicle with her daughter at a service station near Interstate 59 and set out walking.

A dark-colored SUV, a larger model such as a GMC Suburban, a Denali or Yukon, stopped and Byers was seen talking to the driver, then getting into the vehicle.

Byers’ family has not seen or heard from her since, Jordan said, and they are very concerned for her safety and that of her child.

Jordan said Byers lives in St. Clair County near Ashville.

Anyone with information about the location of the mother and child is urged to call the Attalla Police Department on its Tipline, at 256-538-5670 or at 256-538-7837.
