FISHKILL, N.Y. (AP) — Vidal Brujan hit a walk-off single in the 10th inning, as the Hudson Valley Renegades defeated the Staten Island Yankees 1-0 on Sunday.
Isaac Benard scored the game-winning run after he led off the inning with a double and advanced to third on a hit batsman.
The Renegades had three relievers combine to throw eight scoreless innings in the victory. Eduard Rosillo (1-2) got the win with two innings of scoreless relief while Eduardo Rivera (1-2) took the loss in the New York-Penn League game.
The Yankees were held scoreless for the second time this season, while the Renegades’ staff recorded their third shutout of the year.
Despite the loss, Staten Island is 7-3 against Hudson Valley this season.
