Organizers and volunteers gathered at the Mena Train Depot Saturday to celebrate Clarice’s Room of Hope Day.
Clarice’s Room of Hope is a well-established non-profit organization in Mena offering assistance to patients throughputs Polk County and the surrounding area who are going through cancer treatments. The organization extends support through many different ways, including providing gas cards for out-of-town medical visits, volunteer transportation to doctor appointments or treatments, wigs, hats, scarfs and home visits. All contributions received stay in the community.
The group encouraged all citizens to join in the celebration of their mission, which is “Our hope is to encourage and inspire people to keep going and never give up.”
