DancerPalooza Brings Teachers, Dancers Together For Fourth Year In Long Beach | Entertainment – California News

“DancerPalooza is the Coachella of dance,” Nikole Vallins, event producer, said.

The six day event — beginning Monday, July 31, at the Long Beach Convention Center — is a dancer’s dream, according to Vallins. The event will offer both performances and classes.

Adults and children of all ages will have the opportunity to sign up for classes taught by professional dance instructors, learn new routines and explore what’s trending this year in the dance world.

“It’s a way for people to find out what’s going on in the world of dance,” she said. “There’s so many opportunities to get involved when you’re there.”

Classes at the Convention Center begin with Intensives. Signups are currently available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The cost for Intensives is $950 and covers more than 30 hours of dance classes with professional studios, including Bobby’s Boot Camp, Kamotion, Marquee and Aria: The Ballet Intensive.

For $350, attendees will have access to 36 Crash Course dance classes, taught by various celebrity guests and professional dancers.

Individuals who purchase tickets for Intensives will be provided access to all Crash Course classes.

Many of the confirmed celebrity guests include mentors and judges from the popular dancing show “So You Think You Can Dance,” including Travis Wall, Mia Michaels, Kenny Wormald and Mandy Moore. Moore also was the choreographer for the Oscar winning film “La La Land.”
