One Long Beach resident is among the four Southern California residents who L.A. County District Attorney Jackie Lacey will honor tomorrow, Wednesday, with the Courageous Citizen Award. Another helped a child in Long Beach.
Sylvester June Board helped a boy who was verbally attacked at the beach on April 29.
The other Long Beach incident included a Carlsbad man who helped a boy being attacked in a Long Beach restaurant bathroom on March 3, 2016.
The ceremony is 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, aboard the Queen Mary (1126 Queens Highway).
