Oakley motorcyclist flown to hospital after crash – California News

OAKLEY — Police are investigating a solo injury crash whose victim was airlifted to an area hospital Tuesday, authorities said.

At 6:55 p.m., firefighters responded to the 200 block of Brazil Court for a report of a solo motorcycle accident, East Contra Costa Fire Protection District battalion chief Jeff Burris said.

Nine firefighters responded, and found police and ambulance crews caring for a patient who had fallen from a motorcycle without a helmet on.

The patient was taken to a waiting REACH medical helicopter and flown to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where he was treated for a possible head injury.

No firefighters were injured during the incident.
