July 22, 1972 ~ June 10, 2017

Zachary Quinn Hoffman (ProZack) of Truckee CA passed away suddenly on June 10, 2017. He was 44 years of age. He died at his home after suffering with the pain and depression of injuries for many months. He was with his fiancé, Cherie McKenzie and his beloved dogs Mihai and Augi.

Zack was born 7-22-72 in Manhattan Beach California to Michael Hoffman and Christine Cowan Hoffman. He spent his growing-up years in Southern CA, Phoenix AZ and Aurora CO. After graduation from Smoky Hill High School Zack enlisted in the Navy and served in the first Gulf War, Desert Storm. Through the magic of Facebook he had reconnected with many of his brothers from the flight deck of the Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier. He was an Aviation Ordnance man attached to an A-6 squadron, VA-95, the Green Lizards. Zack was a patriot and dearly loved America.

Zack loved snow and going fast from a very young age- first learning to ski at age 4, then snowboarding. He loved everything in the mountains, moto-cross, snowmobiling , camping and photography. Music was a great love of his. It spoke to his heart. He had a very big heart, and a hilarious sense of humor. He took chances and lived large. He belived in God and thanked Him often for the surprising blessings He provided.

He is survived by His fiancé, Cherie McKenzie, his daughter, Chase Patterson, His mother Christine Hushion, his brother, Casey Hushion, his sister Darby (Hushion) Hamer.

We want to give a heart-felt thanks to Chet Luedtke, Kurt Haselton, Jamie Fawcett and Leesa Luedtke and the Deck Envy crew for the Memorial ride to honor Zack.
