STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) — Brett Siddall was a triple short of the cycle, driving in four runs and scoring three as the Stockton Ports defeated the Inland Empire 66ers 14-0 on Tuesday.
Luis Barrera homered and singled with a couple of runs and two RBIs for Stockton.
Stockton had a pair of big innings in the blowout victory, scoring four runs in the second inning and five in the third.
In the second, Argenis Raga hit a three-run home run, while Barrera hit a two-run home run in the third.
Stockton starter Dalton Sawyer (2-4) picked up the win after allowing four hits over five scoreless innings. Opposing starter Ryan Clark (0-2) took the loss in the California League game after a rough outing in which he allowed 10 runs and eight hits over 3 1/3 innings. Kyle Friedrichs pitched four scoreless innings for his first save of the season.
The 66ers were held off the scoreboard for the sixth time this season, while the Ports’ staff recorded their ninth shutout of the year.
