State may consider lowering minimum score for bar exam – California News

Due to the recent trend of decreasing amount of people passing the licensing exam in California, staff from the State Bar of California presented on Monday an option to slightly decrease the minimum score required to pass the exam to make up for the decline of attorneys obtaining their license.

According to a report by the Associated Press, the proposal presented would lower the minimum score only for the July exam from 144 to just over 141.
