Ukiah police and fire log: Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017 – California News



POLICE REPORTS

The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department. To anonymously report crime information, call 463-6205.

TRANSIENTS: Caller in the 1200 block of Airport Park Boulevard reported at 1:54 a.m. July 24 that people were sleeping near Starbucks. An officer contacted the people and they left upon request.

MARIJUANA CULTIVATION: An officer responded to the 400 block of East Gobbi Street at 8:16 a.m. July 24 and took a report of illegal marijuana cultivation.

TRANSIENTS IN CREEK: Caller on Cherry Street reported at 5:28 p.m. July 24 that people were under a bridge and in the creek. An officer responded but did not observe any violations.

TRANSIENTS IN CREEK: Caller in the 200 block of South Orchard Avenue reported at 6:32 p.m. July 24 that transients were under a bridge. An officer responded and arrested a 31-year-old Ukiah man for Mendocino County warrants.

CAMPER IN LAUNDRY ROOM: Caller in the 1400 block of North Bush Street reported at 8:51 p.m. July 24 that a woman was camping in a laundry room. An officer responded and reported that the woman had left upon request. At 9:46 p.m.,a caller reported that the woman was still there and refusing to leave. The officer responded again and reported that she left.

BARKING DOG: Caller in the 1300 block of Yokayo Drive reported at 11:30 p.m. July 24 having an ongoing problem with a neighbor’s dog barking at night, including right then. An officer responded and reported that the area was quiet when he arrived and quiet when he left.
