Greenwood’s Season of Entertainment – News – Greenwood Democrat – Arkansas News

Last year’s successful Season of Entertainment at the Greenwood Performing Arts Center called for another year of great performers. Members of the Performing Arts Center Community Council (PACCC) set out to find affordable and enriching shows that the community would enjoy. Their mission to advance the role in the arts for education and community entertainment continues with the support of the Greenwood Public School Administration, Greenwood Education Foundation, Fine Arts Council of Educators (F.A.C.E), and the Greenwood Advertising & Promotion Commission.

Hawk Nelson, Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 7:00PM – This Christian group of four guys, originating from Ontario, Canada, has been awarded two Canadian GMA awards, multiple GMA Dove Award nominations as well as a JUNO nomination. CCM Magazine fans voted them as their “Favorite New Artist” in their Reader’s Choice Awards. Their songs include “Words,” “Just Getting Started,” “Thank God for Something,” “Drops in the Ocean,” “Live Like You’re Loved,” and “Sold Out.” Individual tickets go on sale Tuesday, August 8.

“GHS Presents” Beauty and the Beast, Thursday, November 16, 2017, and Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 6:30PM – This musical production is enjoyed by young and old. Beauty and the Beast is a love story between a young strange girl and a prince transformed into a beast. The Greenwood High School drama and choir departments will delight you with their performance.
