Middlesex County college student news for Aug. 2, 2017 – Connecticut News



Nichols College

DUDLEY, Massachusetts >> Nichols College recognized students who achieved dean’s list status for their academic work during the spring 2017 semester, including Tamyia King of Middletown, Vincent Langenfeld of East Hampton, Kevin Radavich of East Hampton and Nicholas Roy of Middletown.

The college also graduated over 300 students on May 6, including Aaron Tonks of Ivoryton, who earned a bachelor of science in business administration.

Lehigh University

BETHLEHEM, Pennsylvania >> During commencement ceremonies May 22, Lehigh University conferred degrees to Jacob Smith of Killingworth (bachelor’s of science in mechanical engineering) and Jonathan Woods of Essex (bachelor’s of science in mechanical engineering).

Paul Smith’s College

PAUL SMITHS, New York >> The following students were named to the dean’s list at Paul Smith’s College during the spring 2017 semester. Each earned a semester average of 3.3 or higher to receive this distinction.

They are: Lydia Harvey of Old Saybrook was also named an Adirondack Scholar, having achieved a cumulative average of at least 3.8; and Christopher Malin of Old Saybrook.

St. Michael’s College

COLCHESTER, Vermont >> The following students have been named to the dean’s list at St. Michael’s College for the spring 2017 semester.

Erin O. Buckley, an environmental science major, daughter of David and Denise Buckley of Haddam and a graduate of Haddam-Killingworth High School.

David J. Baird, a sophomore history and secondary education major, son of Peter and Jane Baird of Higganum and a graduate of Haddam-Killingworth High School.
