Norwalk man charged in domestic assault – Connecticut News

NORWALK — A Winfield Street man was arrested early Tuesday morning after what police say was a domestic assault that left a woman with facial injuries.

At 4:46 a.m. a caller reported that Milton Castro had arrived home drunk and became physically aggressive.

Arriving officers found a distraught woman bleeding from the mouth and her hands were covered in blood in an attempt to stem the bleeding. The alleged victim stated that Castro had punched her in the face and attempted to put his fist into her mouth.

Castro reportedly told police that the woman had caused her own injuries.

Castro, 27, was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct. His bond was set at $15,000.

As Castro was being held on bond, Wilton police served an arrest warrant at Norwalk Superior Court for two counts of second-degree failure to appear. His bond on those charges was set at $10,495.

Castro was given a court date of Aug. 1.
